A local man is going to take on a 253-mile non-stop race all in the name of charity.
James Basset - an ultra distance athlete from Peel, is raising funds for the Children's Centre.
In October, he will take on the 'Lon Las Ultra' - a 253-mile non-stop race from Holyhead to Cardiff, crossing the length and breadth of Wales.
The distance is equivalent to 10 consecutive marathons and James won't be allowed a support car, walking poles or a walking buddy. He also has to all of his own kit.
