Peel plans to follow in the footsteps of the Island's capital - with household rubbish collections to move from weekly to fortnightly.
In a 'Spring newsletter' to residents - Peel Town Commissioners say they plan to 'switch to a fortnightly refuse collection for general waste in wheelie bins.'
Further information on the scheme is expected to be released later this year.
It comes following the news Douglas bin collections will reduce from weekly to fortnightly this year 'to protect the environment'.
The newsletter also states Commissioners are 'investigating the possibility' of placing community recycling points around Peel - in order to reduce carbon footprint.
