The jetty by Peel Castle has been closed for several months due to a large crack in it, the government has revealed.
In response to a freedom of information request, the Department of Infrastructure said it has plans for repairing it and just needs funding from the Treasury.
It explained the jetty had been closed for well over a year due to concerns that heavy vehicles and machinery were being parked on it and worsening the damage.
The response went on to say the Highways Services had deemed the jetty to be unsafe for public access.
