The chairman of the Island's planning committee says plans for a clubhouse and bowling alley in Peel was turned down after an objector said it was aimed at old people.
The proposals from Peel Commissioners would have seen the bowling clubhouse on Marine Parade turned into a clubhouse with a face, function room and two-lane bowling alley.
However, it's been turned down after two objectors said it wouldn't provide facilities for the town's young people.
On Twitter, Rob Callister MHK said he agreed with an objector who wanted facilities that benefit the whole community in Peel.
