Police have confirmed a pedestrian has died after being hit by a van in Onchan this morning.
The 66-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene on Royal Avenue following the crash at 9.50am.
Roads around the area were closed for a number of hours whilst investigations were carried out.
Officers say the van driver is assisting them with their enquiries – they also want to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and who saw what happened.
