A brand new pedestrian and cycle lane has opened in Ramsey.
The route on the former railway line connecting Gardeners Lane and Poyll Dooey is part of the government's Active Travel Strategy.
The Department of Infrastructure says it links the western estates with the town centre as well as providing easy access for pupils of Ramsey Grammar School and Bunscoill Rhumsaa.
Highways Services also adds says in future it will also be fitting with low-level, low-voltage lights to encourage use throughout the day and night at all times of the year and will be activated with sensors to improve energy efficiency.
