Paths open after WWII ammo scare

Footpaths in the south of the Island have reopened after unexploded World War II ammo was found yesterday.

A number of routes were shut overnight  around Spanish Head in Rushen after the discovery yesterday.

This morning a UK Military Ordnance Disposal team dealt with the items, which were found by a member of the public near the Raad Ny Foillan coastal path.

Coastguards say all of the paths are now fully open again.
