Rugby players from Guernsey were forced to make a two-hour stopover in the UK at the weekend - because Ronaldsway Airport wasn't open.
The Sunday morning flight from the Channel Islands was bringing a team from Guernsey to play on the Island.
However, passengers took to social media at around 9am to explain they'd been forced to divert to Manchester because the Island's airport was shut.
The plane was held up for around two hours before completing its journey across the Irish Sea.
Apparently the airport in the Isle of Man isn’t open yet... so we’ve pulled over in Manchester! Not getting off of course. Can someone let them know @gsyrugbyacademy are on the way? ?? pic.twitter.com/jCrPcjxzDe

Still on the tarmac in Manchester. We’re ready to go, sounds like the IoM are ready for us, but now waiting on the ground crew here to get us on our way. Hopefully won’t be too long ?? pic.twitter.com/tvQ7qxXl5p
