Passenger fury over major delays leaving Liverpool

A number of passengers have criticised the Steam Packet after delays leaving Liverpool Ferry Terminal last night.

One passenger says around 500 people were left waiting for hours in the terminal after arriving, with little information or access to facilities.

Others reported lengthy delays on the roads trying to leave the area, with one traveller saying it took three hours to get from the terminal to Costco.

The disruption has been blamed on traffic congestion linked to an Everton home fixture at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
