Part of the Mountain Road will close for four days in December while surveying work is carried out.
The route is due to shut on December 2 and 3 as well as December 9 and 10.
The closures will be from Brandywell to the Creg ny Baa Back Road between 9.30am and 4.30pm.
If bad weather delays the work, contingency dates have been set for later in the month.
