The measures on Parliament Street in Ramsey to only allow pedestrians on the stretch during the day have been dropped.
Ramsey Town Commissioners made the decision at its monthly board meeting yesterday evening.
Since May 18, the road had closed to traffic between 10am and 4pm Monday to Saturday to allow shoppers to socially distance as non-essential retail re-opened on Island.
However, following the lifting of restrictions on social distancing and gatherings, the local authority says the temporary system has now been discontinued with immediate effect.
Officials are thanking the residents who took time to submit feedback about the matter.
