Two local speech therapists are on a mission to help those suffering from Parkinson's Disease.
Rebekah Traynor and Amy Howse are looking to run a six-week communication therapy programme for those with the disease, beginning early next year.
It will focus on conversation skills, clarity of speech and meeting new people.
The two women say communication is significantly affected by PD - it can change volume, clarity and intonation of speech, alongside restricting facial expressions.
They want to run the programme to help those with the disease to gain confidence and socialise with others.
Rebekah, one of the speech therapists told 3FM why she wanted to set up the group:
If you, or someone you know, would benefit from taking part you are asked to email info@traynorspeechtherapy.im or call 312999 for more information.
