An Island wildlife charity says now's the time to get rid of mites and parasites in time for spring.
Manx BirdLife took to Facebook to advise people to clear out old bird boxes before nesting season.
It says you should put old nest material aside so spiders and insects can relocate, before rinsing the box with boiling water and letting it dry and sealing it up again.
In its post, the organisation says you can provide a safe and healthy home for birds in the coming year.
