Douglas Council says its kerbside recycling scheme is unaffected by the end of bring banks for paper.
Last week, Infrastructure Minister Tim Crookall said the recycling points for paper would be scrapped because it was better for the environment to burn the waste at the incinerator.
But the capital's local authority says the Eastern Civic Amenity Site will continue to collect paper for recycling as normal.
And it says its kerbside recycling service will be completely unaffected by the decision and residents should keep putting paper out in recycling boxes as normal.
