Police are warning dog owners to be on the lookout for palm oil which has washed up on the Island's beaches.
Officers say a dog fell ill after eating what's thought to be the oil on a Manx beach earlier this week.
The oil is a whitish, waxy substance that smells like diesel and can - in extreme cases - prove fatal to dogs.
If you see what you think is palm oil you're being asked to contact the Island's Marine Operations Centre on 686612.
