PAG To Discuss Freedom Of Information Act In Today's Meeting

The Positive Action Group will be meeting tonight to discuss the implementation of the freedom of information act on the Island.

 

Roger Tomlinson of PAG has said he wants to nudge the FOI to the top of the Island’s political agenda as he says they still hold back the legislation despite making a promise to introduce it.

 

When asked about it’s introduction at the beginning of the month the Chief Minister said the slow response is down to the lengthy consultation process on the matter, with many detailed responses still being collated.

 

PAG believe that the act is a crucial key in obtaining and imparting accurate information; they say it’s a vital part of the modern political process.
