Karran and Cannan Dominate Questions in HOK Today
There’s a packed schedule in the House of Keys today with the majority of the questions on the table to be asked by Onchan MHK Peter Karran and Michael MHK David Cannan.
Mr Karran will be asking Infrastructure Minister Phil Gawne what work will be done to stop the Douglas Promenade Landmark Castle Mona Hotel from failing into a state of dereliction.
He’ll also be seeking to find out what the current progress status is on the Summerland development.
Mr Karran will also raise the issue of young people on benefits who want to work but would find themselves financially worse off if they were to come off the benefits.
Mr Cannan will ask the Chairman of the Office of Fair Trading if he thinks the price of gas charged to Manx Gas customers for central heating is excessive.
He’ll also be asking for justification from the Minister for Education and Children Eddie Teare for the high numbers of Education Advisers.
