Nearly £2,000 has been raised to help a carer pay for two weeks of private respite care for her Dad.
Steve Hobbs, who was left paralysed after he fell down the stairs in 2022, is well-known on Island for his work as a mental health nurse and psychotherapist.
Since the spinal cord injury, his wife Jan has cared for him at home full-time, with her own health beginning to suffer as a result - the fundraiser is to give her a rest by arranging specialised care at a home, which costs over £1,700 per week.
