The police says that it arrested over 20 people on suspicion of drink or drug driving in the past month as part of an operation.
On Facebook, the Road Policing Unit says that between November 29 2024 and January 4 2025, they arrested 22 people for driving under the influence.
It also says it stopped nine drivers who had no license, insurance or tax.
The Roads Policing Unit launched ‘Operation Ripple Effect’ to try and target drink and drug drivers over the festive period.
