The government has spent over £12m on supply teachers in the last five years.
A Freedom of Information Request revealed that between September 2023 and August 2024, £3.3m was spent on hiring them.
It also showed 347 supply teachers were registered as of September 1.
A total of £12, 933, 80 was spent since September 2019.
