Of the 70,000 outpatient appointments booked in 2022/23 for consultant led services, over 10% of patients did not attend.
That's according to Manx Care, which says this equates to an average of approximately 600 monthly appointment slots.
The health body is aiming to reduce the consultant led outpatient 'Did Not Attend' rate to 5% by March 2024.
A dedicated working group has been tasked with identifying and implementing processes and changes to free up capacity for longer waiting patients.
