Two local organisations say they're not involved with an online appeal for £5,000.
Beach Buddies and Sea Kayaking Isle of Man say the appeal to help clear coves around the Manx Coastline of marine rubbish is nothing to do with either organisation.
In a statement both organisations say they have no idea why £5,000 is needed to fund the new project and whilst the cause is honourable, appealing for the funds is not.
Beach Buddies says its contacted the person behind the appeal to ask what the money is for, and they said "No more detail than what’s already on the funding page itself about equipment etc."
