The mysterious orange substance seen off the east coast of the Island is in fact an 'algae bloom'.
It was confirmed by the Department of Environment, Food & Agriculture yesterday which added it's a result of high light levels, nutrients and calm water.
Officials say the algae isn't harmful in itself but it could cause some decomposition smells.
DEFA also says swimming around the liquid should be avoided.
