An online petition has been launched after the government announced it would shut greenways during this year's TT.
The Department of Infrastructure had applied to shut routes in Laxey, Michael, Marown, Maughold and Lezyare - saying the closures would prevent illegal riding which worsens during the festival.
The change.org petition set up by Island residents calls for the government to rethink the moves and find a different solution to the problem.
So far, the petition has gathered almost 300 signatures.
