The government's cyber-security office says more than one out of every six suspicious emails reported to it last month pretended to be from manx.net
The Office of Cyber-Security and Information Assurance says in May it was sent 362 dodgy emails from Island residents.
More than three-quarters contained malicious links, and more than 15 per cent posed as the Manx email service to try to con people.
Most claimed people's email accounts would be suspended unless they clicked a link.
