42 Months Jail and 10 Years on Sex Offenders Register for Onchan Man
An Onchan man was today sentenced to 42 months in prison for 2 charges of indecent assault and one charge of harassment.
45-year-old Steven Alan Wade has also been placed on the Sex Offenders Register for a period of ten years, a sexual offenders prevention order was also made in an attempt to stop him re-offending upon his release.
The charges stemmed from an incident when Wade entered an unlocked property on more than one occasion and indecently assaulted a female while she was asleep in bed, purely for his own gratification.
The assault had a very serious impact on the victim, who is still seeking professional help.
Wade has been in custody since he was arrested and charged in September of last year.
