 
                            Those interested in become a councillor for Onchan have just a couple of days left to put their name forward.
Onchan District Commissioners is searching for a new representative for the area following the resignation of James Cherry in October last year.
The successful candidate will serve in their post until May 1 next year and voters will go to the polls to nominate their favourite candidate in a by-election on October 22.
The local authority is reminding any aspiring candidates they must collect a nomination paper from the commissioners' office at Hawthorn Villa on Main Road, fill it out and return it to the same place before 5pm this Thursday (September 24).
