Onchan Commissioners say they're staying tight-lipped after sacking their chief executive this week.
On Monday, the board revealed it had parted ways with Michael Morrison following an extraordinary meeting of the local authority at an advocate's office.
But after Mr Morrison said he didn't know why he's been fired, commissioners say they won't be commenting.
They say they're respecting the confidential nature of the employment relationship.
