Garff Commissioners say it’s a ‘big relief’ to see an old cafe building on Laxey Promenade demolished.
In the last 20 years various planning applications have been approved for residential development on the site but none have progressed.
A current application, for four dwellings, is still pending.
Chairman Marinda Fargher says the building itself had become unsafe.
