Oil spill calls off TT practice racing

The sidecars started the qualifying session before the solo machines to allow the solo's to practice controlled pit speeds.

Klaffenbock and Dan Sayle again topped the leader board at 113.754mph.

The chairs' session came to an end at 7.45pm but a delay due to oil being dropped between Kirk Michael and Alpine meant it the solo session was abandoned.

It's the final practices session tonight before race week commences tomorrow. The Mountain will be closing at 5PM with the rest of the course at 6PM.

It's the Superbike race kicking TT action off tomorrow, Ballymoney's Michael Dunlop came second last year and told 3FM he's determined to get a TT win this year. (audio above)

Away from the racing, Charley Boorman Live is at the Villa Gaiety tonight. There are a few tickets still up for grabs for his show.

The funfair is in full swing on Douglas Promenade.

Don't forget that TT3D, filmed during last years event, is being shown three times at day at The Broadway cinema.
