OFT recall specific showers

The Office of Fair Trading has issued a safety notice relating to specific Gainsborough and Aqualisa electric showers.

Manufacturers have taken the decision to recall all electric showers that may be affected.

The showers concerned are the Gainsborough GSX Plus, Gainsborough GSX Deluxe, Aqualisa Vitalise SL & SLX and the Aqualisa Energy 200.

It says potential faults can manifest sporadically within extreme conditions, such as during exceptionally high water pressure and have the potential to put users at risk.
