Shops aren't obligated to agree to take returned Christmas presents.
That's the message from the Office of Fair Trading - which says people need to be aware that new and unworn items aren't guaranteed to be accepted by retailers.
Advice centre manager Andrea Tabb explains that although many larger chains will take unused products, smaller shops may be more selective.
