The Office of Fair Trading has issued eight warning letters
recently to traders operating illegally.
Those cautioned had committed acts of false trade
description, an offence that can carry a substantial fine aswell as the
possibility of prison.
Although only a minority, those committing the offences do
so to gain an edge over their competitors.
