Office of Fair Trading issue warning over faulty items

Product warning over baby cribs and Sony Bravia TVs

The Island’s Office of Fair Trading have issued two safety warnings in relation to potentially faulty items that have been purchased on the Island.
 
The statement from the OFT revealed there have been faults identified in Mothercare swinging and gliding cribs purchased between September 2010 and May of this year.

The batch codes for the swing cribs are NO289 and NO290 and the codes for the gliding cribs are NO291 and NO292. 
 
If parents realise they own such items they’re urged to cease using them immediately and make alternative sleeping arrangements for their children.
 
They are also warning about Sony Bravia TV’s purchased after 2007 which have a problem with overheating that could lead to the set catching fire.

The model numbers for the potentially dangerous TV's are KDL -  40D3400, KDL – 40D3500, KDL – 40D3550, KDL – 40D3660, KDL – 40V3000, KDL – 40W3000, KDL – 40X3000 and KDL – 40X3500.
