October air figures down on last year

The Ronaldsway passenger figures for the last month showed a slight decrease on 2010\'s numbers.

The small decrease of 575 passengers marked a 1% decline, however it was expected given that last years October was the strongest month for passenger growth.

In total, 63,093 passengers passed through the Airport last month.

Airport Director, Ann Reynolds said that although there are signs of optimism ultimately she is disappointed with the figures.

The flat nature of the UK economy is attributed to the downturn in numbers, with airport traffic down about 5% on what was expected.
