A pensioner from Douglas has appeared in court after spitting in a police officer's face on Christmas Eve.
69-year-old George Alan Moore, of Quines Corner, lashed out as he was being arrested on December 24th.
Police were called to Ridgeway Street just before 3pm after reports that Moore was banging on the door of a property.
He was being aggressive towards the occupant, who had asked him to leave, and threatened to assault him.
As Moore was being detained he became 'increasingly agitated' and grabbed at the police officer's jacket before spitting at him.
At Douglas Courthouse on Tuesday he admitted being drunk and disorderly and assaulting a PC.
A social enquiry report has been requested before he's sentenced on February 19th - he's been bailed until that date.
