Passenger Survey Shows General Decline
According to the latest passenger survey, numbers of people leaving the Island has fallen dramatically.
The number of trips off Island fell dramatically by nearly 40,000.
Departure numbers fell by 3.7% on last year, with passengers travelling by sea only dropping off by half a percent.
The long stretch of bad weather and of course the economic downturn are the two main factors blamed for the decline.
Visitors to the Island spent an estimated £95 million while on trips here in 2009.
