The Department of Infrastructure says the number of people dying in crashes on the Island's roads has doubled this year.
A Freedom of Information request asked how many people had died in vehicle collisions this year and last year.
In its response, the DOI said two people lost their lives in such incidents in 2023 - while this year that total was already four with a month still to go.
The department added ongoing police investigations could mean the total number may be subject to change.
