The Isle of Man is to host the Island Games in 2029.
The International Island Games Association unanimously supported the move at its Annual General Meeting in Orkney at the weekend.
It means more than 2,000 athletes from 24 islands will compete in 14 sports.
The government says it'll improve facilities including the National Sports Centre to host the event.
