A volunteer with the Island's Civil Defence Corps will become the organisation's longest serving in the British Isles.
This year is Norman McBride's 40th with the organisation, and will be presented with a Long Service Medal.
In that time, Norman has assisted in significant events such as the 'big snow' in 2013, numerous missing people searches and five aircraft crashes.
He's still an integral part of the Island's volunteer response team.
