Staff at Noble's Hospital have been praised for their 'commitment, professionalism and capability' for their part in a recent major incident exercise.
The annual day - which was named 'Exercise Apollo' - simulated the hospitals response to an imagined crash at Isle of Man Airport in an assessment designed to stress-test hospital procedures in the event of a large-scale emergency.
Dr Gareth Davies of the hospital says he was 'extremely impressed' by the conduct and effectiveness of personnel involved.
He added he feels confident the institution is capable of providing 'safe, effective and compassionate care to patients' in such a scenario.
