Patients Still Feel There are Issues Surrounding Discharge Times
A survey sent out to the Manx public has revealed that 98% of the in-patients to Nobles Hospital are satisfied with the care they received.
The survey is sent out with a view to establish what areas of the service need improvement, it was co-ordinated by the hospital's Patient Safety and Quality Forum.
The surveys were sent out to just under 7000 people who had been in-patients at Nobles between August 2009 and March of this year – 638 people responded, that's representative of 9% of the in-patients.
The survey focussed on the key areas of service that are important to patients during their stay.
According to the 2% the main areas that could be improved are the discharge times for in-patients, and issues surrounding prescriptions.
Getting the survey circulated and the results collated has been a large scale task for all involved, with this in mind it's hoped the next one will happen roughly in 2012, subject to approval.
