Manx Care says it's reopening the Covid-19 ward at Noble's Hospital amid rising numbers of cases.
All non-essential staff training has been cancelled, and the organisation is asking clinically-registered staff to work extra shifts if possible.
Staff absences have also risen because of coronavirus, with workers ill or self-isolating.
Chief executive Teresa Cope says the hospital is under pressure, and those who can should go to the Minor Injuries Unit at Ramsey District Cottage Hospital rather than Noble's.
