Tynwald looks set to outlaw vulnerable people getting their gas cut off during winter.
When the court sits later this month, it'll consider passing an order that means households with pensioners, children under six or those on disability benefits or pensions can't be disconnected.
The measures would run from the start of October to the end of March.
Members are due to vote on the order when Tynwald sits in around a fortnight.
