It’s unknown how many people in the Isle of Man are drug and alcohol users according to a local helpline.
The admission from the Manx drug and alcohol service DASH follows UK reports that nearly one in three children lives with a parent whose drinking is likely to cause harm to themselves and others.
The new report equates to between 3.3 million and 3.5 million children.
