The constabulary is asking motorists not to use the Islands Heritage Trail to get around parts of the Island.
Several reports have been received of motorbikes using the route on the old railway line between the TT Access Road and Glen Vine, according to officers.
Authorities say the trail is a public right of way, bridleway and mountain bike link route and is not suitable for motor vehicles.
They've added patrols will continue to be carried out in the area to enforce the law.
