The Island’s Enterprise Minister says there won’t be any Tesco credit cards issued to Manx residents – because the supermarket chain isn’t issuing them any more.
In Tynwald this week, Tim Johnston faced a question from Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorehouse about how talks to provide the cards here are progressing.
But Mr Johnston said Tesco is selling its financial services business to Barclays later this year, subject to approval by a UK regulator.
He says as a result Tesco will no longer supply any credit card services anywhere.
