The Infrastructure minister says no final resting place has yet been found for thousands of tonnes of silt dredged from Peel Harbour.
During this week's Tynwald sitting, Tim Crookall faced questions from Garff MHK Daphne Cain about how the department planned to dispose of it.
The contaminated waste was removed from the harbour in 2020.
Mr Crookall explained it's currently being held on a temporary site which only has planning permission until 2024.
He admits a better solution still hasn't been found:
Police appeal after bike crash
No more TT this year - and Dean Harrison awarded Senior win
Condition updates on three riders after Friday crashes
£10k raised by popular charity walk
Further two-hour delay to planned racing
Mountain closed because of pressure on emergency services
