No sewage in Onchan homes, says Manx Utilities

Manx Utilities says no sewage leaks are entering homes in Onchan.

Onchan MHK Rob Callister has asked a question for written answer to MU chairman John Wannenburgh about when the body would deal with sewage in properties around Ashley Park.

A spokesperson for Manx Utilities says “We are not dealing with raw sewage in properties and this has not been reported to us to respond”.

The authority says any claim sewage is leaking into homes is extremely misleading and absolutely untrue, adding sometimes surging manholes become overwhelmed in gardens during heavy rainfall.
