The Treasury says there's no pressing need to change how it oversees the Steam Packet company.
It's published a report into the government's oversight arrangements, after the Council of Ministers told a select committee it would do so in February.
In the document, it says it would be good practice to review the shareholder agreement it has - but adds there are no obvious deficiencies.
The report is due to be laid before Tynwald in January.
